Between June 13th and 15th, the Boldog Özséb Youth House was once again filled with laughter, joy, and hearts focused on God. The sixth edition of the Whole Heart leadership training took place, made even more special by the presence of young guests from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Vác — known as the “Rescuers” — who are actively involved in youth pastoral care. Together, we enriched each other.

Friday evening started with icebreaker games and a lively Whole Heart quiz, where participants got to recall and apply what they had learned so far. The day ended with a reflection on the life and work of Saint Anthony of Padua, deepening our spiritual inspiration.

On Saturday, the training sessions began. We discussed the differences between a group, a team, and a community, then split up: the younger participants (“ifi”) received teaching on evangelization, while the more experienced (“forte”) delved deeper into music theory and song study. After lunch, we had one-on-one conversations (“1 on 1”) to get to know each other better. The “forte” group started rehearsing for Sunday’s Mass, while the “ifi” group received practical training on leading small groups — knowledge they will surely use at the Catholic Youth Meeting in Csíksomlyó, where they will serve as small group leaders.

The evening closed with a beautiful Eucharistic adoration and praise session — we laid down to sleep with hearts full of peace and gratitude.
On Sunday, participants learned about intercession and the power of fasting. Meanwhile, parents attended a training session led by Sister Dr. Ildikó Homa. The weekend concluded with a Mass celebrated in a spirit of communion and joy, where we sang together to glorify God.

This weekend strengthened our vocation: God forms communities through His love, equips us with knowledge and grace — and shows us that we are on the right path. We are especially grateful for the presence of our guests from Vác, who made this gathering even more special. 💛
